Delete from the app

You can delete your account yourself, without contacting anyone:

1. Open CrewNotice and sign in.
2. Go to Profile and choose Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your login is removed immediately and you are signed out.

If you are the owner of a vessel workspace, ownership has to be transferred to another administrator first. Email us (below) and we will arrange it, after which you can delete your account from the app.

Or ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@crewnotice.com from the address you registered with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We action requests within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Your login (email address and password) is deleted and can no longer be used.
• Your email address is removed from your crew record.
• Your profile photo is deleted from storage.
• Any offline data cached on your device is cleared when you sign out.

What is kept, and why

CrewNotice exists to keep a vessel’s safety-compliance record. Your name and the record of which safety notices, documents and training you acknowledged or completed are retained against the vessel, because an acknowledgement attributed to “deleted user” is not evidence that a named crew member read the notice. These records are retained for the vessel’s subscription period plus 12 months, or longer where maritime regulation (ISM Code, MLC 2006) requires it, and are visible only to that vessel’s administrators.

This retention is based on our legitimate interest, and the vessel operator’s legal obligation, to maintain compliance records. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
